Turismo literario a través de la escritura de Antoine de Saint-Exupéry inspirada en Chubut (Patagonia Argentina)

Abstract

Dentro de la amplia clasificación del turismo, se encuentra el turismo literario como modalidad del Turismo cultural. Para abordarlo, en este caso se toma como base la escritura de Antoine de Saint-Exupéry inspirada en Chubut, Patagonia Argentina, la cual se centra en tres obras: Vuelo nocturno, El Principíto y Un sentido de la vida. La tesis reseña la vida de Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, su pasión por el vuelo, la lectura y la escritura desde temprana edad; se investigan y sitúan los lugares de memoria relacionados con su actividad laboral, su vida y sus escritos, en las ciudades de Comodoro Rivadavia, Trelew e Isla de los Pájaros, ubicadas en la zona costera de la provincia de Chubut. El motivo de dicha elección es que estas ciudades formaron parte de la Línea Sur de Aeroposta, la empresa en la que Saint-Exupéry era Director y piloto, por tal razón eran frecuentadas por él y citadas en sus escritos. Por otro lado, en ellas hay lugares de memoria, como placas recordatorias, Banco de la Libertad, hoteles en los que pernoctaba, aeroclubes, aeródromos que se conectan con su historia; el barrio Próspero Palazzo cuya raíz es aeronáutica y la toponimia de sus calles da cuenta de ello, la Escuela Provincial Nº 722 “Próspero Palazzo” y la Biblioteca Popular “Antoine de Saint-Exupéry”. Así también en Isla de los Pájaros, geoforma que inspiró el dibujo de la boa que come un elefante, hay cartelería explicativa en la que se detalla dicha inspiración, el trabajo de Saint-Exupéry en Aeroposta, y reseña la exposición en el lugar del avión Laté 25, el cual luego se llevó a Morón para su restauración. Se toman estos lugares de memoria como atractivos turísticos, y se propone el diseño de la Ruta Turística Literaria Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, como una alternativa innovadora y creativa, que contribuye a ampliar la oferta turística de la provincia del Chubut.

Within the broad classification of tourism, there is literary tourism as a modality of cultural tourism. To address it, in this case, the writing of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry inspired by Chubut, Patagonia Argentina, is taken as a basis, which focuses on three works: Night Flight, The Little Prince and A sense of Life. The thesis reviews the life of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, his passion for flying, reading and writing from an early age, and investigates and locates the places of memory related to his 2 work activity, his life and his writings, in the cities of Comodoro Rivadavia, Trelew and isla de los Pájaros, located in the coastal area of the province of Chubut. The reason for this choice is that these cities were part of the Southern Line of Aeroposta, the company in which Saint-Exupéry was Director and pilot, for which reason they were frequented by him and mentioned in his writings. On the other hand, there are places of memory in them, such as commemorative plaques, the Bank of Liberty, hoteles where he spent the night, aeroclubs, aerodromes that are connected with his history; the Próspero Palazzo neighborhood whose roots are aeronautical and the toponymy of its streets reflects this, the Provincial School Nº 722 “Próspero Palazzo” and the Popular Library “Antoine de Saint-Exupéry”. Likewise, on Isla de los Pájaros, a geoform that inspired the drawing of the boa eating an elephant, there is explanatory signage detailing this inspiration, Saint-Exupéry´s work on Aeroposta, and describing the exhibition on site of the Laté 25 plane, which was later taken to Morón for restoration. These places of memory are taken as tourist attractions, and the design of the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Literary Tourist Route is proposed, as an innovative and creative alternative, which contributes to expanding the tourist offer of the province of Chubut.
