The increasing number of pediatric patients in the emergency room, which has become increasingly common in recent years, it should be noted that only a small number are required for emergency care. It is necessary to emphasize the importance of using the pediatric triage system to conduct a rapid assessment of patients and determine priority care for timely treatment of patients with emergencies. In addition, it is important to describe the staff's experiences with the implementation of triage in the pediatric emergency room. To better understand the results, the qualitative phenomenological method was used. It should be noted that this research was conducted with nurses working in the pediatric emergency room at the Caleta Olivia Zonal Hospital. To begin with, the interview method was used as an instrument, using a question guide. The questions were recorded with the authorization of the informants who agreed to sign the informed consent form. The questions were transcribed verbatim, and the categories were formulated. Four nurses (male and female) aged between 38 and 50 years, with professional experience (11-19 años) and seniority in the sector (2-3), participated in the research. All have experience working with children, such as in neonatology, pediatric inpatient care, etc. Analytical categories converged, such as: Satisfactory experience of nursing staff in implementing triage, which allows for prioritizing the child's care and attention. Coordinated, organized, and collaborative actions between the admissions and nursing staff, prioritizing fluid communication in the standardized implementation of pediatric assessments, with a need to improve infrastructure. Nursing adaptation in implementing triage, promoting autonomy. Difficulty in addressing family issues, making dissemination and communication a challenge.
