Resumen
El presente trabajo de investigación fue realizado en el contexto laboral de la industria petrolera de la cuenca del Golfo San Jorge, durante el año 2024. Tuvo como objeto de estudio las experiencias en torno a los hábitos alimentarios y el autocuidado nutricional de enfermeros y licenciados en enfermería que prestan servicios en una operadora privada de hidrocarburos.
El objetivo fue describir e interpretar los desafíos que enfrentan estos profesionales en relación con su alimentación dentro del entorno laboral, considerando el impacto que esto tiene en su bienestar y rendimiento.
A través de un enfoque cualitativo, con diseño fenomenológico interpretativo, se llevaron a cabo entrevistas semiestructuradas que permitieron identificar categorías claves vinculadas a la omisión de comidas, la ansiedad, la falta de opciones saludables y la importancia del apoyo familiar.
Los resultados evidencian la necesidad de generar estrategias de autocuidado y planes nutricionales adaptados a las condiciones del trabajo en campo, con el fin de mejorar la salud metabólica y favorecer un desempeño profesional integral y sostenido.
This research study was conducted in the work context of the oil industry in the Gulf San Jorge basin during 2024. It's object of study was the experiences related to the eating habits and nutritional self-care of nurses and bachelor's-degree nurses working in a private hydrocarbon company. The objective was to describe and interpret the challenges these professionals face regarding their diet withing the workplace environment, considering its impact on their well-being and performance. Using a qualitative approach with an interpretative phenomenological design, semi-structured interviews were conducted, which allowed the identification of key categories related to skipped meals, anxiety, lack of healthy options, and the importance of family support. The findings highlight the need to develop self-care strategies and nutritional plans adapted to fieldwork conditions, aiming to improve metabolic health and support comprehensive and sustained professional performance.
